Subscriber Agreement

This is a plain-language agreement between you and Hello2You (Pty) Ltd t/a Kruger2Canyon News, publisher of K2C RAZOR. We’ve written it so you know exactly what you’re signing up for—no surprises and no fine print designed to catch you out.

By subscribing, you agree to these terms. If anything isn’t clear, please email us before subscribing.

1. What K2C RAZOR Is

K2C RAZOR is a paid digital membership publication providing deeper reporting, informed analysis and local intelligence from across the Lowveld, as well as access to the monthly digital edition of Kruger2Canyon News.

K2C RAZOR content is for your personal use. It may not be redistributed, republished or forwarded to third parties without our written consent.

2. Your Subscription

What you receive

  • Access to all members-only K2C RAZOR articles while your subscription is active.
  • Access to the monthly digital edition of Kruger2Canyon News.
  • Content published periodically in accordance with the content-frequency policy in Section 7.

Cost and billing

  • The current subscription price is R110 per month.
  • Payment is processed monthly in advance through Paystack, our third-party payment processor.
  • By subscribing, you authorise Paystack to charge your selected payment method automatically each month.
  • If payment fails, Paystack may retry the charge. Your access may be suspended if payment remains unresolved.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.
  • We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase.

How to cancel

You may cancel at any time using the Manage subscription link provided in your Paystack emails. If you cannot access that link, email samantha@kruger2canyon.co.za for assistance.

There is no lock-in period or cancellation fee. Your access will continue until the end of the billing period for which you have already paid.

3. Refunds

We generally don’t offer refunds for completed billing periods because you have had access to the content. However:

  • If you were charged in error and can provide proof, we will refund you.
  • If a technical failure on our side prevented you from accessing your subscription, we will refund the affected period.
  • If you are a new subscriber and are genuinely unhappy within your first seven days, contact us and we will work to resolve the issue.

To request a refund, email editor@kruger2canyon.co.za within seven days of the charge in question.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Your subscription is for one person and account sharing is not permitted. If someone else is using your account without your knowledge, tell us immediately and we will help you secure it.

We may suspend or close an account that is being misused, shared commercially, or used to scrape or redistribute our content. See Section 8 for the suspension process.

5. Our Content

K2C RAZOR publishes a combination of original content produced by our editorial team and, where applicable, content sourced from third parties under Creative Commons licences. Third-party content is published with full attribution in accordance with the relevant licence terms.

Original content produced by Kruger2Canyon News remains its intellectual property. Third-party content remains the property of its respective owners.

Opinions expressed in K2C RAZOR are those of the individual authors. They do not necessarily reflect the views of Kruger2Canyon News, K2C RAZOR, its publisher, editor, staff or members.

Our content is provided for information and analysis; it is not legal, financial or other professional advice. We will correct factual errors when they are brought to our attention.

6. Intellectual Property

Subscribers receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read and access the content for private, non-commercial use only.

The following are prohibited without prior written consent from the relevant rights holder:

  • Republishing, redistributing or forwarding content to third parties.
  • Using any K2C RAZOR content commercially.
  • Using any original or third-party content to train, fine-tune or develop artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems.
  • Modifying third-party Creative Commons content where the applicable licence does not permit modification.

A breach of this section may result in immediate account suspension. We reserve the right to pursue appropriate legal remedies.

7. Content Frequency

K2C RAZOR publishes content periodically rather than according to a fixed weekly quota. Subscribers can generally expect new communication roughly once a week - sometimes more and sometimes less, depending on what is happening and whether a story meets our editorial standard.

We do not publish filler simply to meet a schedule. Our aim is to provide original, useful and non-repetitive reporting, analysis and local intelligence worth your time.

8. Account Suspension

If we need to suspend your account for misuse - including account sharing, content redistribution or scraping - we will notify you by email at least 48 hours before the suspension takes effect and give you an opportunity to respond.

If the matter is not resolved, we reserve the right to terminate the account.

Where termination occurs through no fault of your own, we will refund any unused portion of your current billing period on a pro-rata basis.

9. Liability and Personal Information

We will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of K2C RAZOR content, including decisions made on the basis of what you read.

For ordinary service complaints—including dissatisfaction with content or access issues - our total liability to you in any given month will not exceed the subscription fee paid for that month, currently R110.

This limit does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including obligations arising under the Consumer Protection Act, the Protection of Personal Information Act, or from gross negligence or wilful misconduct. In those circumstances, liability will be governed by applicable South African law.

To create and manage your subscription, we may process personal information including your name, email address and location. Paystack processes your subscription payment, while Ghost and Zapier support member-account creation, access and communication. We do not collect or store your payment-card details.

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African law. We will not sell or use it for unrelated purposes without an appropriate lawful basis.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Service Discontinuation

In the unlikely event that K2C RAZOR ceases publication, we will give subscribers at least 30 days’ written notice.

Any subscription fees paid in advance for a period after the service ends will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.

11. Changes to This Agreement

If we make a material change to these terms - including changes affecting pricing, access or your rights—we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree with the change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect.

Minor administrative updates, such as changes to contact details or clarifications that do not materially affect your rights, may be made without prior notice.

12. Disputes and Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Applicable legislation includes the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it informally by email within 14 days after the dispute is raised.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue the remedies available under applicable South African law, including approaching an appropriate consumer body, regulator, alternative dispute-resolution forum or South African court.
